Sotech was chosen as the Construction Management Consultant to complete the construction of the project during 2011. After the success with completing the project in time and on budget, Sotech was again chosen for the resorts major upgrade in 2013 as the main contractor.On this Karon Beach Resort & Spa, All Penthouses was re-designed with 80 up to 160 square meters of private roof top gardens with Jacuzzi, covered lounge areas, and sun decks. Two of the 110 square meters two bedroom Penthouses was re-designed to three bedrooms to care for families in mind. A complete new reception with a back office was built and also 300 square meters of basement areas under existing buildings for administrative purposes. A new roof top bar and sundeck was designed and built on top of the restaurant at the center of the resort. The new wooden sundeck next to the main pool was installed in pine wood. As sometimes there is power outage in this area of Phuket a new generator system was installed that can supply the whole resort with electricity, if needed.
